The second was sourcing — Amazon, AliExpress, Pollin, reichelt, and waiting for parts. The third was assembly and discovering that the motors I had ordered were the wrong voltage.
That third weekend is when OpenForge was born. Not as a company, but as an idea: what if someone had already done the research, sourced the parts, and packaged them together — so you could get to the fun part faster?
